Rešetka is Zagreb's premier always-on-the-move barbeque joint. They offer a choice selection of smoked and grilled meats sourced from local farms. Rešetka approached Sudar looking for a complete brand overhaul. Given how much we like their food, we were happy to accept the task.
We wanted our redesign to reflect Rešetka's enthusiasm for travel. They compete in culinary contests around southern Europe, and hope to expand globally. For this reason, the main logo consists of the word "grid" in several languages. This presented a slight problem, as different alphabets need different design inputs.
We used a contemporary sans typeface to remain consistent between them, as well as giving the logo a more modern feel. The use of more than one language also made for a nifty animation.
We opted for a standard tricolor palette of red, white, and black. We used red to highlight Rešetka's name, preserving some aspects of their Croatian identity.
Rešetka was pleased with our redesign. They commissioned it for several uses, including their new line of in-house craft beer. We were glad to see our work put to good use.
