When we say we're honored to work with a client, we mean it. Especially if that client strives for more than profit or returns. Boskinac is a family-owned hotel and winery from the island of Pag. A fierce storm flooded their vineyard, ruining most of their year's harvest. Rather than float the cost, they used the surviving grapes to make a special vintage - Potribica. They corked 1688 bottles, with all proceeds going to the Rokotok Association, a non-profit for children's wellbeing. Boskinac asked us to design the labels for this exceptional wine, a task we were gracious to accept.
We wanted to connect the visual design to the wine's incredible backstory. We settled on a minimalistic icon depicting a grapevine gifted to the heavens. A soft color combination of pink and white complements the heavy black used in the typeface. Speaking of, we used a simple typographic hierarchy consisting of serif for the name, accompanied by a small sans serif tagline. For curious English speakers, "dobrota u boci" translates to "goodness in bottles."
We applied the same design strategy to the backend label, adhering to a strict grid. This helps convey all the necessary information to the inquisitive wine drinker.
The final design offers something homely and comforting. We look forward to seeing what Boskinac has in store for the future. We can only imagine there's more amazing wine for a good cause.
