Local family-owned businesses are a favorite of ours, none more so than Meat the King. They specialize in the production and processing of fine Croatian meat products. They work with local farms, livestock specialists, and nutrition experts to deliver healthy choice cuts. Meat the King commissioned us to design a new visual identity, which we were happy to do.
We focused our attention on branding and packaging concepts, both specialties of ours. Because of the diverse nature of the product, we wanted to craft an identity able to conform to any medium. We decided on a playful composition, versatile and welcoming. And we gave special attention to eye-pleasing and practical packaging.
We began with the iconography, using defined curves to convey a smooth and stylish logo. Our style adheres to contemporary flat design and works well in this instance. The crown acts as the centerpiece for the label, with the other aspects oriented around it. You know, like a king.
We employed a straightforward typographic hierarchy, emphasizing the product name. To reflect Meat the King's themes of royalty and freshness, we combined script typefaces with contemporary sans serif. In the end, Meat the King was quite happy with our redesign. Our emphasis on flexibility proved to be the right choice. The variety of packaging templates called for uniformity, which we delivered.
